Description

Been trying to use the team radar more in CTF, but it doesn't really provide enough useful information to make a difference. One thing that's useful to know and that's hard to find out in the midst of action, is information about when and where my team mates die. So here's a patch that puts a quickly fading icon on the radar at the death location of team mates.

I used the waypointsprite system for this, only making one small addition to the protocol, so that the waypoint icons can have an orientation on the radar. As a side effect, 3D waypoints show up whenever a team mate dies. They're kinda neat, but I can see them flooding the screen in a chaotic match. Ideally, I'd like to be able to turn them off, while having other waypoints intact and still having the tombstone icons on the radar, but I haven't looked at that yet.

I like it, would be quite useful. I agree that the 3d waypoints need an off option.
I think that there should be a better symbol than a cross to represent death in a game unrelated to religion, unlike like quake. A skull or a cross would look much better :) Great work
