Description

I noticed on latest SVN compiled with latest fteqcc, my rockets get stuck in mid air and stay there until their lifetime is up!!!

developer 100 tells me "Got a NaN velocity on entity #149 (rocket)" -- Of course the number changes with different matches, but.

I think it's the latest fteqcc revision that's doing it, i'll try an older one (3345)

History

Updated by Samual 11 months ago

Update: 3345 does NOT do this, only latest (3362) fteqcc does it.

Also, make sure you give it some time to happen. Usually happens for me 1 out of 20 shots.

this happens all the time when you try to guide the rocket.

Does this happen with Blub's git fteqcc? If not, I'd suppose it's not relevant for 2.5.2, as the release will (hopefully) be compiled with this.

  • Category changed from Weapons to QC / VM
  • Priority changed from Immediate to Normal
  • Target version deleted (2.5.2)

FruitieX is right, we'll most likely use Blubs fteqcc. However, this is still there for Spikes fteqcc. Someone needs to alert him about these problems :)

looks like this map bug http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwExtss_SUU

but dunno if this is a map bug

Actually I discovered this DOES still happen in revision 3345, I just didn't notice the first time I tested. This needs to be looked at again.

As of yet it has NEVER happened here. Strange...

Blub fixed Spikes fteqcc, this can be closed. BTW FruitieX, this is probably because you use Blubs git checkout :P

Anyway, funny video of the failure of fteqcc: http://samual.nexuizninjaz.com/dpvideo019.ogv
